A Kvadrat Acoustics solution has been installed in the grand foyer of Industriens Hus in Copenhagen, as part of an extensive renovation project.

Home to the Confederation of Danish Industry, Industriens Hus was built in the 1970s. It has been completely renovated by Transform, a firm of Danish architects, and now features a modern glass structure suspended by a slender steel framework. It reopened in May 2013.

For the project, the architects have managed to make different surfaces – notably glass, perforated Corian, concrete and Soft Cells panels with MCH Board G, work together harmoniously. As a result, the building combines striking aesthetic with strong acoustic performance. A total of 140 Soft Cells Broadline panels are used to meet the acoustic challenge provided by the building, which features glass from top to bottom. These are in subtle shades that seamlessly blend into the interior.
