Luise-Kiesselbach-Tunnel, Munich

Traffic noise is one the biggest sources of noise pollution around. And although noise in the cities is eased somewhat with the construction of tunnels, the proximity of residential areas demands that tunnels be equipped with additional sound insulation. That is why noise reduction systems were installed in one of the newer and longer tunnels in Munich, the Luise-Kiesselbach-Tunnel, located approx. 5 km SW of the city centre, and which opened back in the summer of 2015. The cores of the entire 50,000 m2 of aluminium panels employed in the tunnel are composed of our RSB BOARD D10 GVB.
